FAQ's

Do you deliver?

Yes, local delivery can be organised in advance and is subject to availability. Delivery pricing is based on distance from my registered home kitchen in Tauranga. I recommend that delivery be organised for wedding cakes.
$1 per km for the full round trip plus our time applies. The shortest distance will be calculated on google maps and stated within your quote.

Do you courier your treats?

Nationwide shipping is only available for fondant stamped cookies. These are packaged carefully however this option is at your own risk. Sweet Baby Kitchen will not accept any responsibility for goods damaged in transit via courier.

Can you accomodate dietary requirements?

Not at this stage. While I take the utmost care with each cake I make, there is always a chance of cross contamination with allergens.

All treats contain gluten, wheat, dairy (milk/milk products) and eggs. Macarons contain almonds and uses confectionary containing peanuts and tree nuts. As treats are made in my home kitchen, traces of tree nuts, peanuts, sesame and soy may also be present.

How tall are your cakes?

Our single tier cakes consist of 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of filling, approximately 7 inches in height.

How do I transport my cake?

For pick up orders, I recommend that cakes be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle (the footwell or boot space) with the air conditioning on. Cake should be stored in the fridge, especially prior to any transport and brought to room temperature (around 1-2 hours) prior to serving.

Can my florist decorate the cake?

Due to food safety reasons, only the Sweet Baby Kitchen team are permitted to dress the cake. We are happy to work with your florist to have them supply the florals for the cake prior to the event, or supply these ourselves, based on your specific requirements.

How long will my cookies last?

All cookies are individually heat sealed and will remain fresh for up to 4-6 weeks if kept in their original packaging. Once opened, cookies are best eaten straight away, or can be kept in an air tight container for up to 1 week.

How should I store my cookies?

Please store your cookies in a cool, dry, place out of direct sunlight.

Please DO NOT store your cookies in the fridge.

How much notice do you require?

I take booking up to 12 months in advance so the more notice, the better!

I require a minimum of 3-4 weeks notice for cakes and cookies and a non refundable deposit to secure your order. Quotes can take up to 1 week, please factor this in when contacting me.
